My Flight to Verona were only £70 per person all In and my Venice flights were the same. For some reason The Verona flights coming home were about £120 each. Decided on Venice as Its only an hour and 20 mins away by train from peschiera to Mestra City Station, then a 1/2 hour on the airport shuttle bus. Roberto.
Just back from 11 nights at Bell Italia, Lake Garda, travelled with my husband and 2 daughters age 2 and 4. Location - stunning on the edges of Lake Garda and a short walk along the lake to the lovely Italian Town of Peshiera - loads of places to grab a coffee or a meal or browse round the shops.
Verona is the best and most convenient airport for the Lake. You could travel by train with journey times of up to hours and fares between €9 to €14 single. This journey involves taking the shuttle bus to Bergamo, trim to Peschiera del Garda with a change en route, then bus or taxi to the campsite. Edited: 8 years ago.
